Advices from founder who failed 7 times in a row before finally hitting big success in business.
He started with,
” Don’t take my words as rules, and I may not be smarter than you. My inputs are just from the mistakes I made, which led to failure, and then I made better decisions that led to success.”
Here are the main points he shared with me. If you’re building a tech venture or planning to start a startup, these might help:
1) In the early stage, don’t try to make everything very structured. Focus on the problem and how customers use your product/ Solution.
2) You don’t need to attend every startup event or meetup. Spend more time with your team in the office.
3) If you believe a product or solution is never going to work, don’t waste your time. Move on and find the right niche.
4) Keep your core team with you for at least 10 years. You can’t handle everything alone as you grow.
5) Your main focus should be sales and growth. Automate everything else or hire better people.
Simple but powerful lessons.
